Privacy policy
What this website does with data. The short answer is: very nearly nothing, and we can show you where to check.
Version of 1 September 2026
In one paragraph
This site has no backend, no database and no contact form that sends anything anywhere. It sets no cookies at all. It runs no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It loads nothing from anyone else's server: the typeface, the icons and the photographs all come from this site's own server. The only thing it puts on your device is your choice of language. Everything below says the same thing at greater length, because the law asks us to be precise.
1. Who is responsible
- Controller
- LITTLE KOKOTO LIMITED, trading as Roofing by Little Kokoto
- Registration number
- PVT-MKUMLR6P (Companies Registry, Business Registration Service, Kenya)
- Address
- Mbili Kuvili Road, PO Box 5492, Diani Beach 8040, Kwale County, Kenya
- Email
- torsten.welida@gmail.com
- Telephone
- +254 115 395 464 · +254 743 598 009
Little Kokoto Limited is the data controller under the Kenyan Data Protection Act, 2019 and, so far as it reaches us, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Full company details are in the legal notice. Write to the address above with any question about this page; it is read by us, not by a service desk.
2. The web server's log files
Every web server writes a line into a log file for each page it hands out, and this one is no exception. That line holds your IP address, the date and time, the address you asked for, the HTTP status code, the number of bytes sent, the page you came from if your browser announced one, and the browser and operating system your browser reports.
In the server configuration we deploy, this logging is switched off for everything under /assets/ — the stylesheet, the scripts, the fonts, the icons and the photographs. Only requests for pages are recorded.
- Purpose: delivering the site, finding faults, and defending the server against attacks.
- Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in a site that works and a server that stays up; section 30(1)(b)(vii) of the Kenyan Data Protection Act, 2019.
- Retention: the logs are kept only as long as they are needed to operate and protect the server, and are then deleted.
- Use: they are never combined with anything else, never used to work out who a visitor is, and never passed to a third party for any purpose of its own.
3. The quote form
The form in the "Get in touch" section does not send anything to this website. There is nowhere for it to send anything to: there is no script and no database behind this page that could receive it.
What actually happens when you press one of the two buttons is this. The page takes the words you typed, puts them into a single block of text, and hands that text over:
wa.me, Meta's link service, in a new tab — on a phone, usually straight into the WhatsApp app — with the text already written out. From that moment you are on WhatsApp, not on this site. WhatsApp receives your IP address, and if you go on to send the message, your phone number and the text with it. What Meta does with that is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy, not by ours.
- Send by email opens your own email programme with the text already written and
torsten.welida@gmail.com in the recipient field. Nothing leaves your computer until you press send in that programme.
If you close the tab or the mail window without sending, nothing has been transmitted and nothing has been stored, neither here nor with us. One caveat worth naming: your browser may remember what you typed into the fields, the way it remembers any form. That is your browser's own autofill, and you can clear it there.
4. When you get in touch
If you call, write or send a WhatsApp message, we process what you send us in order to answer, to arrange a site survey and to write a quote. Under the GDPR the basis is Article 6(1)(b), steps taken at your own request before a contract; under the Kenyan Act it is section 30(1)(b)(i). We keep an enquiry for as long as the matter is live and afterwards for as long as we may still need it to answer follow-up questions or to satisfy Kenyan record-keeping rules. You are free to ask us to delete it sooner.
5. The one thing stored on your device
When you switch the site to German or Italian, that choice is saved in your browser under the key lk-lang, in what browsers call local storage. Its value is two letters, en, de or it, and nothing else. It is not a cookie, it is never sent to any server, and it says nothing about who you are. It stays until you clear your browser's data for this site. If your browser blocks local storage, the site works exactly the same and simply starts in English each time.
6. What this site does not do
- No cookies. Not for statistics, not for advertising, and no "necessary" ones either — there are none.
- No analytics: no Google Analytics, no Matomo, no visitor counter, no heat maps, no session recording.
- No advertising, no remarketing, no tracking pixels, no profiling, no automated decision-making.
- No newsletter, no mailing list, no user accounts, no login, no comments.
- No social media plugins, no like buttons, no embedded videos, no embedded maps.
- No fonts, icons or scripts from anyone else's server. The Zilla Slab font files were moved onto this server on 1 September 2026; before that date the site fetched them from Google Fonts, which meant your IP address reached Google. That request is gone.
7. Who else sees anything
Two kinds of recipient, and no others:
- the provider on whose server this website runs. The access logs of section 2 are written on its machine; it handles them for us and on our instruction.
- whichever service you pick yourself: Meta/WhatsApp if you use a WhatsApp button, your email provider and ours if you write an email.
Nobody else. We sell nothing, share nothing, and have no advertising partners to share it with.
8. Kenya, the Union, and where an enquiry travels
Little Kokoto Limited sits in Diani Beach, Kenya, and that is where a message is read and answered. In the language of the GDPR, Kenya is a third country, and the European Commission has issued no adequacy decision for it. Where an enquiry from the Union reaches us, the transfer rests on Article 49(1)(b) GDPR: it is necessary for steps you yourself asked for before a contract. You cannot get a quote for a roof in Diani from a company in Diani without the enquiry reaching Diani.
Kenya has had its own data protection law since 2019, the Data Protection Act, closely modelled on the GDPR and supervised by the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
9. Representative in the European Union
Article 27 GDPR asks companies outside the Union that fall under the Regulation to name a representative inside it. Little Kokoto Limited has not appointed one. Our reading is that the exemption in Article 27(2)(a) applies: this site processes personal data only occasionally and on a very small scale, it touches no special categories of data, it does no profiling and no tracking, and the remaining risk to anyone's rights is slight. If a supervisory authority takes a different view, we will appoint a representative and name them here.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR, where it applies to you: access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21), and withdrawal of any consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)).
Under the Kenyan Data Protection Act, 2019 (section 26): to be informed of the use of your data, to access it, to object to its processing, to have inaccurate data corrected, and to have false or misleading data deleted.
Write to torsten.welida@gmail.com and we will answer as quickly as we can, at no charge. One honest caveat: for most visitors we hold nothing at all. If you have only read this site, the sole trace is a line in a server log tied to an IP address, and we cannot connect that to a name. An access request will then truthfully come back empty.
If you want to complain
- Kenya: Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, P.O. Box 30920-00100 G.P.O. Nairobi; Britam Tower, 12th and 13th Floor, Hospital Road, Upper Hill, Nairobi; info@odpc.go.ke; www.odpc.go.ke
- European Union / EEA: the supervisory authority of the country where you live, where you work, or where you believe the breach happened (Article 77 GDPR).
11. Security, honestly stated
There is no visitor database here to break into: no form endpoint, no accounts, no stored enquiries. The one place personal data does arise is the server's log file, and access to it is limited to the people who administer the server.
12. Check it yourself
None of this has to be taken on trust. Open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab and reload this page: every request points at this site's own address, and not one goes to another company. Under Application (or Storage) you will find no cookie at all, and exactly one local-storage entry, lk-lang. The whole site is a handful of plain files; "view source" shows you everything it does.
13. Changes
We will update this page whenever the site changes, and we would rather change the site than the wording. This is the version of 1 September 2026.

1. Wer verantwortlich ist
- Verantwortlicher
- LITTLE KOKOTO LIMITED, auftretend als Roofing by Little Kokoto
- Registernummer
- PVT-MKUMLR6P (Companies Registry, Business Registration Service, Kenia)
- Anschrift
- Mbili Kuvili Road, PO Box 5492, Diani Beach 8040, Kwale County, Kenia
- E-Mail
- torsten.welida@gmail.com

- +254 115 395 464 · +254 743 598 009
6. Was diese Seite nicht tut
- Keine Cookies.
- Keine Statistik: kein Google Analytics, kein Matomo, kein Besucherzähler, keine Heatmaps, keine Sitzungsaufzeichnung.
- Keine Werbung, kein Remarketing, keine Zählpixel, kein Profiling, keine automatisierte Entscheidungsfindung.
- Kein Newsletter, kein Verteiler, keine Benutzerkonten, kein Login, keine Kommentare.
- Keine Social-Media-Plugins, keine Gefällt-mir-Schaltflächen, keine eingebetteten Videos, keine eingebetteten Karten.
Little Kokoto Limited hat keinen benannt.
- Kenia: Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, P.O. Box 30920-00100 G.P.O. Nairobi; Britam Tower, 12. und 13. Stock, Hospital Road, Upper Hill, Nairobi; info@odpc.go.ke; www.odpc.go.ke
- Europäische Union / EWR: die Aufsichtsbehörde Ihres Wohnorts, Ihres Arbeitsorts oder des Orts, an dem Sie den Verstoß vermuten (Artikel 77 DSGVO).
11. Sicherheit, ehrlich benannt

1. Chi è il titolare
- Titolare del trattamento
- LITTLE KOKOTO LIMITED, operante come Roofing by Little Kokoto
- Numero di registrazione
- PVT-MKUMLR6P (Companies Registry, Business Registration Service, Kenya)
- Indirizzo
- Mbili Kuvili Road, PO Box 5492, Diani Beach 8040, Kwale County, Kenya
- E-mail
- torsten.welida@gmail.com
- Telefono
- +254 115 395 464 · +254 743 598 009
- Invia via WhatsApp apre
torsten.welida@gmail.com come destinatario.
- Nessuna newsletter, nessuna lista, nessun account, nessun login, nessun commento.
- Nessun plugin social, nessun pulsante "mi piace", nessun video incorporato, nessuna mappa incorporata.
10. I vostri diritti
- Kenya: Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, P.O. Box 30920-00100 G.P.O. Nairobi; Britam Tower, 12° e 13° piano, Hospital Road, Upper Hill, Nairobi; info@odpc.go.ke; www.odpc.go.ke
